Maybe this is just another sign of my middle class background, but whenever I see houses like Taylor Swift’s new $17 million house in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, all I can do is cringe over how much it would cost to heat and cool the house, not to mention paying for property taxes, house insurance, maids, and furnishings (and those other things I’m not thinking of). I’m actually feeling some anxiety over this for Taylor Swift.
